DON'T PANIC! Here's Challenge #44: Towel Day

(you have NO IDEA how sad I am that this isn't challenge #42)

This Friday is Towel Day. So give me your best recipes that are wholly, vaguely, tangentially, or not at all related to the life and work of Douglas Adams.

• Do you have a great Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster recipe*? Or Jinnantonix for that matter?
• Is there some snack or protein bar or salad box that you would never forget to pack alongside your towel and your bottle of Ol Janx Spirit in your hitchhiking bag?
• Did you invent a new recipe between the ages of 15 and 35 and you're hoping to get a career out of it?
• Is there something you like to eat as you listen to the whooshing noise of deadlines passing by?**

Show me, please, what Hoopy Froods you are or else I shall rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon, see if I don't***! Bonus points for anyone who posts a betowelled picture of themselves or their recipe.

* when I was at uni I used to drink in a bar where they served a version of a Pan Galactic. The recipe was "a shot of every spirit we keep behind the bar, yes including Blue Bols and Baileys, in a pint glass, topped up with cider". They charged £3.50 for it. It's a wonder I'm still alive. There is a semi-official Pan Galactic recipe, but somehow it seems to lack the old magic for me.

I did actually contemplate it, but thought date-matching was better.

The semi-official one just doesn't have a) a horrifying enough colour or colours for starters or b) enough lethality in there.

Indeed and exactly.
I always imagined it would be some shade of lurid green.

Lurid green should be at least part of the colour. Not necessarily all of it.

I'm going to have to experiment with this. I do have some green pistachio liqueur.

That's a good start. Next up: emptying your liquor cabinet and selecting things based on alcohol content and truly horrifyingly lurid colours. (My liquor cabinet is distressingly short of things with interesting colours in. However, it does contain a lot of vodka.)
