It's one of those things, like The Accused, which needs to be seen but which you have to steel yourself to watch.
Perhaps it's best to see these things by someone sitting you down in front of them and refusing to tell you anything about it and just handing you the tissues when it all gets too much. Once you actually know what's going to happen it's that much harder to make yourself watch it.
